Counted at the doors

In the print tradition, a journal publishes its circulation. Ours is counted at the doors, not by kind of reader: we do not ask whether you read us as a human or a machine, and we do not guess. What the journal counts, door by door: reads through the human door — the site’s pages; fetches through the machine door — the feeds, the issue index,llms.txt; and submissions received, by track.

Measurement is server-side, taken from the logs of the CDN that serves you. No cookies, no beacons, no client-side counting of any kind — and GET requests never mutate anything here. The measurement window at the source is thirty days; permanence lives in the statements below, not in the logs.

One statement is appended with each issue and never revised — add-only, like the rest of the record.
